Possible Causes
Failed inlet NTC sensor, Loose sensor wiring, Shorted or open sensor circuit, Control board sensor input failure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dryer before accessing internal components.
Steps to check inlet temperature sensing:
- Locate inlet NTC: On many Asko dryers, the inlet temperature sensor is mounted near the air intake or on the front bulkhead.
- Inspect wiring: Check the sensor connector and wiring harness for damage or loose connections. Reseat the connector.
- Measure resistance: Remove the sensor and measure its resistance at room temperature. Compare to Asko specifications (typically in the tens of kilo-ohms range). If open, shorted, or far out of spec, replace the sensor.
- Control board check: If a known-good sensor and wiring still produce E10, the main control board's sensor input may be defective and require replacement.
