Possible Causes

Failed exhaust NTC sensor, Damaged sensor wiring, Sensor shorted by moisture or lint, Faulty control board input

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power before servicing.

Steps to diagnose exhaust sensor:

  • Locate exhaust NTC: Typically mounted on the exhaust duct or heater outlet area.
  • Check connections: Inspect the sensor plug and wiring harness for damage or loose fit. Clean any lint or debris around the sensor.
  • Test resistance: Remove the sensor and measure resistance at room temperature and, if possible, in warm water. Compare to Asko's resistance/temperature chart. Replace if readings are abnormal.
  • Board evaluation: If the sensor and wiring are good, the main control board may misread the sensor and need replacement.
