Possible Causes
Shorted moisture sensor bars, Sensor harness short to ground, Faulty moisture sensor module (if separate), Control board fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dryer.
Steps to resolve sensor circuit error:
- Inspect and clean sensor bars: Inside the drum, clean the moisture sensor bars with alcohol to remove conductive residue.
- Check for shorts: Access the back of the sensor bars and inspect wiring. Ensure no wires are pinched or touching the drum or chassis.
- Continuity tests: With wires disconnected, verify that each bar is isolated from ground and from each other (infinite resistance). If a bar is shorted to ground, replace the sensor assembly.
- Module/board check: If wiring and bars are correct, the moisture sensing circuit on the control board may be defective.
