Dryer makes loud banging or thumping noises during operation

Steps to check and fix:

• Check load: Remove heavy items like shoes or belts that can cause banging. Run the dryer empty to see if noise persists.
• Inspect drum rollers: Remove panels to access the drum supports. Look for worn surfaces or flat spots. Replace rollers in pairs for even support.
• Check rear bearing: If your Balay model uses a rear drum bearing, inspect it for wear or play. Replace the bearing kit if noisy or loose.
• Inspect baffles: Check inside the drum for loose baffles or foreign objects trapped under them. Tighten screws and remove objects.
