Possible Causes
Faulty main control module (PCB), Faulty user interface board, Loose or oxidized communication harness connectors, Power supply instability on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect the dryer from mains before accessing the control electronics.
Steps to check and fix:
- Power reset: Leave the dryer unplugged for at least 5–10 minutes to allow capacitors to discharge, then reconnect and test. Sometimes this clears transient communication errors.
- Inspect control boards: Remove the top cover and control panel to access the main PCB and user interface board. Look for burnt components, corrosion, or moisture damage.
- Check connectors: Reseat all multi-pin connectors between the main board and the display/control panel. Ensure locking tabs engage fully.
- Verify harness integrity: Inspect the harness for pinched or broken wires, especially where it passes through sharp metal edges.
- Replace defective board: If visual inspection shows damage or if E10 persists despite good wiring and connectors, replace the faulty control module or user interface board with the correct Balay spare part. Board-level repair should be done only by qualified personnel.
