Thermal Cut-Out Tripping Due to Blocked Airflow
Dryer stops after a few minutes and the cabinet feels very hot; after cooling, it will run again for a short time.

Possible Causes
Severely blocked lint filter or condenser, Blocked vent hose or wall outlet, Blower fan partially obstructed, Dryer installed in a confined, unventilated space
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power and let the dryer cool before cleaning. Do not repeatedly reset and run a dryer that is overheating.
- Deep clean: Remove the lint filter and clean thoroughly. On condenser/heat pump models, remove and wash the condenser. On vented models, clean the entire vent hose and external vent.
- Inspect blower: Access the blower housing and remove any lint clumps or foreign objects from the fan wheel.
- Check installation: Ensure there is adequate clearance around the dryer and that it is not installed in a very small cupboard without ventilation.
- Reset safety thermostat (if fitted): Some models have a manual-reset thermostat on the heater housing. After resolving airflow issues, press the reset button.
