Possible Causes
Open or shorted NTC sensor on heater duct, Loose or corroded NTC connector, Damaged wiring harness to NTC, Faulty main control board temperature input
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect mains power before removing covers. Components near the heater can be hot.
- Locate the NTC sensor: On Beko dryers, the NTC is typically mounted on the heater housing or in the front air duct near the drum.
- Inspect connector: Unplug the NTC connector and check for corrosion, moisture, or loose pins. Clean and reseat firmly.
- Measure resistance: Using a multimeter, measure the NTC resistance at room temperature. Compare with Beko service specifications (commonly in the tens of kΩ range). A reading of 0 Ω (short) or infinite (open) indicates a failed sensor.
- Check wiring: Trace the harness from the NTC to the main PCB. Repair any damaged insulation or broken conductors.
- Replace NTC if faulty: Remove the retaining screw or clip and fit a new sensor, ensuring good thermal contact with the duct.
- If NTC and wiring are OK: The control board's analog input may be defective, requiring PCB replacement by a technician.
