Damp lint in condenser, Standing water in sump, Poor ventilation around dryer, Infrequent high-heat cycles

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the dryer before cleaning internal components.

Cleaning:

  • Remove and thoroughly clean the lint filter and filter housing.
  • On condenser models, remove the condenser and wash it with warm soapy water. Allow to dry fully.
  • Empty and rinse the water tank with a mild disinfectant solution, then rinse with clean water.
  • If accessible, wipe out the sump area with a cloth and mild detergent.

Usage tips:

  • Leave the door slightly open between uses to allow the drum to dry.
  • Run an occasional high-heat cycle with the drum empty to help dry out internal components.
