Dryer runs but clothes remain wet and cool; E03 displayed indicating a temperature sensing issue.
Safety Warning
This repair may involve working with high voltage components or water connections. Always unplug the appliance before removing any panels.
If you are not confident in your ability to perform this repair safely, we strongly recommend contacting a professional technician.
Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dryer before accessing internal components.
Locate the NTC sensor:
- On many Belling dryers, the NTC (temperature sensor) is mounted on the heater housing or in the air duct near the front or rear of the drum.
- It is usually a small probe or disc with two wires attached.
Check and test:
- Inspect connections: Ensure the NTC plug is firmly seated and free from corrosion or heat damage.
- Measure resistance: Disconnect the NTC and measure its resistance at room temperature with a multimeter. Compare to service data if available; typically NTCs read between 5–50kΩ at 20–25°C and change smoothly with temperature.
- Wiring harness: Trace the NTC wires back to the main control PCB, checking for pinched, broken, or burnt sections. Repair or replace as needed.
If the NTC is faulty: Replace the NTC sensor with a compatible Belling part, ensuring good thermal contact with the duct or heater housing.
If the fault persists: The main control PCB may not be reading the sensor correctly. This typically requires replacement of the PCB and should be done by a qualified technician.
