Dryer will not start or stops unexpectedly; E09 displayed indicating a control board or power issue.

Safety first: Unplug the dryer. The control board contains live mains circuitry; only work on it if you are competent with electronics and safety procedures.

Basic external checks:

• Verify the wall socket and plug are in good condition and firmly connected.
• Check the mains cable for cuts, burns, or kinks.

Internal inspection:

• Remove the top cover to access the main control PCB (usually mounted at the side or rear).
• Inspect the board for burnt components, cracked solder joints, or blown tracks, especially around relays and the power supply section.
• Check all harness connectors for secure fit and signs of overheating.

Action:

• If obvious damage is found, the safest solution is to replace the entire main control PCB with the correct Belling part number.
• Do not attempt to bridge burnt tracks or bypass safety components unless you are a qualified electronics technician.

After replacement: Reassemble, reconnect power, and test. If E09 persists, there may be a short in another component (e.g. motor, heater) feeding back to the board; professional diagnosis is recommended.
