Possible Causes

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect the appliance from the mains before removing the control panel.

Simple reset:

  • Unplug the dryer for at least 5 minutes to allow the electronics to fully discharge, then reconnect and test. This can clear transient communication errors.

Inspect the control panel:

  • Remove the top cover and then the front control fascia as required to access the display/UI PCB.
  • Check the ribbon cable or harness between the UI and main PCB for secure connections and no visible damage.
  • Examine the buttons and rotary selector for signs of liquid ingress or sticking. Clean carefully if necessary.

Board replacement:

  • If the UI board shows signs of burning, corrosion, or physical damage, replace it with the correct Belling display PCB.
  • If wiring and UI appear fine, the main PCB communication circuit may be faulty and the main board may need replacement.

Note: Some models may require configuration or programming of a new PCB; this is best handled by an authorised service agent.
