Possible Causes
Defective touchpad or UI board, Moisture under control overlay, Loose ribbon cable, Control lock feature enabled
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dryer before removing the control panel.
- Check control lock: Refer to the user manual to see if a control lock or child lock is enabled and disable it.
- Clean panel: Wipe the panel with a dry cloth. Do not spray cleaner directly on the controls.
- Inspect ribbon cable: Remove the console and ensure the ribbon cable between the UI and main board is fully seated.
- Replace UI board: If specific buttons never respond, the UI board or touchpad is likely faulty and should be replaced.
If a new UI does not resolve the issue, the main control board may also be defective.
