Electrolux
Restricted Airflow / Poor Drying Performance
Dryer takes too long to dry clothes; clothes are warm but still damp at end of cycle

Possible Causes
Clogged lint filter, Blocked exhaust vent or wall duct, Lint buildup in internal blower housing, Crushed or excessively long vent hose
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power before disconnecting the exhaust duct.
- Clean lint filter: Remove and wash the lint filter with warm soapy water if it appears coated with fabric softener residue. Dry completely before reinstalling.
- Check exhaust airflow: Disconnect the vent hose from the back of the dryer and run a timed dry cycle with a small load. If drying improves significantly, the house vent is restricted.
- Clean vent system: Use a vent brush or vacuum to clean the entire length of the wall duct and the exterior hood. Replace any crushed or excessively long flexible duct with smooth metal ducting.
- Inspect internal ducts: With power off, remove the rear or lower panel and vacuum lint from the blower housing and internal ducts.
Proper airflow is critical for Electrolux dryers. If drying is still poor after cleaning, the moisture sensor or heater system may need further diagnosis.
