Possible Causes
Failed drum inlet NTC sensor, Loose or damaged sensor wiring, Sensor shorted by moisture or corrosion, Faulty main control board sensor circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before servicing. Internal heater circuits can retain heat.
- Check airflow first: A severely blocked lint filter or vent can cause abnormal temperatures and trigger sensor faults. Clean the lint filter, internal lint duct, and external vent hood.
- Access inlet sensor: On many Electrolux models, the inlet NTC is located near the front of the drum or on the heater air inlet duct. Remove the top panel and front panel as needed to access it.
- Inspect connections: Verify the sensor plug is firmly connected and free of corrosion. Repair any damaged wires or terminals.
- Test sensor: Measure resistance at room temperature and compare to the service manual spec. If the reading is open, shorted, or far off, replace the sensor.
- Reassemble and test: After replacing the sensor, reassemble the dryer, restore power, and run a timed dry cycle to confirm normal operation.
If E25 persists with a new sensor and good wiring, the electronic control board may need replacement by a qualified technician.
