Possible Causes
Worn drum rear bearing, Worn or seized drum support rollers, Damaged idler pulley, Foreign objects trapped in drum felt seals
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dryer. Sharp edges and moving parts can cause injury.
- Empty the drum: Remove all laundry and run the dryer briefly. If noise persists, it is likely mechanical.
- Check for foreign objects: Inspect the drum seals at the front and rear for coins, bra wires, or other items stuck in the gap.
- Access drum supports: Remove the top and front panel to expose the drum front supports and idler pulley. Spin rollers by hand; replace any that are noisy or stiff.
- Rear bearing: On models with a rear bearing, remove the drum and inspect the bearing and support ball. Replace if worn flat or dry; lubricate only if specified by Gorenje.
