Possible Causes
Blocked condensate pump, Stuck or faulty water level float switch, Kinked or blocked condensate hose, Failed condensate pump motor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power. Water and electricity are a dangerous combination.
- Empty water tank: Remove and empty the condensate water tank. Ensure it is seated correctly when reinserted.
- Clean tank contacts: Some Gorenje dryers use contacts or magnets to detect the tank. Clean contacts and ensure magnets are in place.
- Access pump area: Remove the lower front panel or rear panel to reach the condensate pump and sump.
- Check for blockages: Remove lint, sludge, or debris from the sump, pump inlet, and hoses.
- Test pump: With the dryer unplugged, disconnect the pump and test its resistance. If open or shorted, replace the pump. You can also briefly power the pump with a safe test supply (by a qualified person) to confirm operation.
- Inspect float switch: If present, ensure the float moves freely and the switch operates (check continuity while moving the float).
