Possible Causes

Blocked condensate drain path, Cracked sump or hose, Leaking pump housing, Faulty leak sensor or float in base tray

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the dryer. Water in the base can contact live parts.

  • Check for visible leaks: Remove the lower front or side panel and inspect the base tray for water.
  • Dry the base: Carefully soak up water with towels or a sponge. Allow the area to dry completely.
  • Inspect hoses and sump: Look for cracks, loose clamps, or disconnected hoses from the drum to the pump and from the pump to the tank.
  • Clean drain paths: Remove lint and debris from the sump and drain channels.
  • Check leak sensor: Some models have a float or conductivity sensor in the base. Ensure it moves freely and is not stuck in the triggered position.
  • Test operation: After reassembly, run a short cycle and monitor for new leaks. If leaks persist, replace the damaged hose, sump, or pump housing.
