Confirm symptom: Run a timed program and check if the drum turns but air remains cold after 5–10 minutes.
Access heater: On many Gorenje vented/condenser dryers, the heater is behind the rear panel. Remove screws and carefully pull off the panel.
Test heating element: Disconnect heater terminals and measure resistance. A typical element reads 20–60 Ω. If open (infinite resistance), replace the heater assembly.
Inspect wiring and connectors: Look for burned spade connectors or melted insulation at the heater and thermostats. Repair or replace as needed.
Heat pump models: If your Gorenje dryer is a heat pump type, listen for compressor operation and fan noise. If the compressor never starts, the heat pump module or inverter board may be faulty and should be checked by a qualified technician.
