Safety first: Unplug the dryer before removing panels. Sharp metal edges may be exposed.

Listen for fan operation: During a cycle, you should hear a steady airflow noise. If the drum turns but there is little or no airflow, suspect the fan.
Access blower housing: Remove the rear or lower front panel (depending on model) to reach the blower housing.
Inspect for obstructions: Remove lint, socks, or other items that may have been drawn into the blower wheel.
Check fan wheel: Ensure the wheel is firmly attached to the motor shaft and not cracked. Replace if damaged.
Test fan motor: If separate from the drum motor, test the fan motor for continuity and insulation resistance. Replace if open or shorted.
Verify wiring: Check connectors and harness for damage or loose contacts.

Dryer displays E8; cycle may not start or may stop with poor drying performance.
