Possible Causes
Loose ribbon cable between UI and main PCB, Faulty touch control or button PCB, Moisture ingress into control panel, Defective main control PCB communication circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dryer before removing the control panel or touching any electronic boards.
- Power reset: Disconnect power for 5–10 minutes, then reconnect and test. Temporary glitches can sometimes be cleared this way.
- Inspect UI connections: Remove the top cover and gently release the control panel. Locate the ribbon cable or harness between the user interface board and the main control PCB. Reseat both ends carefully, ensuring they are fully inserted and locked.
- Check for moisture or corrosion: Look for signs of water ingress around the control panel (e.g., from steam). If corrosion is present on the UI board, it may need replacement. Ensure the panel seal is intact.
- Test buttons and display: With the panel accessible, press each button and observe the response. If some buttons do not register or the display segments are missing, replace the user interface PCB.
- Persistent E11: If a known-good UI board and cable are installed and E11 remains, the communication circuitry on the main control PCB is likely faulty and the board should be replaced.
