Possible Causes

Open or shorted NTC sensor, Loose NTC connector, Damaged NTC wiring harness, Incorrect NTC type fitted

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect the dryer from mains before testing sensors or removing panels.

  • Locate the NTC: Depending on the Gram model, the NTC may be mounted on the exhaust duct, drum front, or heater housing. Refer to the service diagram if available.
  • Inspect wiring: Check the NTC connector and harness for damage or loose fit. Reseat the connector at both the sensor and main control PCB ends.
  • Measure resistance: At room temperature, measure the NTC resistance with a multimeter. Compare the reading with Gram specifications (commonly in the 5–20 kΩ range). A reading of near 0 Ω (short) or infinite (open) indicates a faulty sensor.
  • Replace NTC sensor: If the sensor is out of range or intermittent when gently moved, replace it with the correct Gram NTC part for your model.
  • Check PCB input: If a new sensor does not clear E13, the temperature sensing circuit on the main control PCB may be defective and require board replacement.
