Possible Causes
Broken or slipped drive belt, Seized idler pulley, Worn drum support rollers, Overloaded drum causing belt slip
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dryer.
Check drum movement:
- Open the door and try to rotate the drum by hand. If it is very stiff or jammed, do not force it.
Inspect belt and supports:
- Remove the top cover and inspect the belt around the drum.
- If the belt is broken or off the pulley, replace it and ensure correct routing over the motor and idler pulleys.
- Check that the idler pulley and any drum rollers spin freely; replace any seized components.
After reassembly, run a short cycle with a small load to confirm normal drum rotation.
