Possible Causes

Blocked blower wheel with lint or foreign object, Seized fan motor, Broken fan impeller, Faulty fan motor wiring

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power before removing rear or side panels.

Access and inspect the fan:

  • On many Neff dryers, the blower is located at the rear or lower side. Remove the appropriate panel to expose the fan housing.
  • Check the blower wheel for lint build-up, socks, or other obstructions. Remove any debris carefully.
  • Spin the blower wheel by hand; it should rotate freely without wobble.

Fan motor checks:

  • Inspect the fan motor for signs of overheating or burnt smell.
  • Check the wiring harness and connector for damage or loose contacts.
  • Test the motor windings for continuity according to the service manual values.

If the fan wheel is cracked or the motor is seized or open-circuit, replace the complete fan motor assembly. After reassembly, run a test cycle and listen for smooth airflow.
