Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before accessing the lower front or side panels.
Basic checks:
- Empty the condensate water tank completely and reinsert it correctly.
- Check that the tank is not cracked and that its level sensor (if present) is clean.
Condensate pump inspection:
- Remove the lower front panel or side panel to access the condensate pump tray.
- Inspect the tray for lint and sludge; clean thoroughly.
- Locate the float switch and ensure it moves freely and is not stuck by debris.
- Check the small internal drain hose from the condenser to the pump for blockages or kinks.
Pump test:
- With the dryer unplugged, disconnect the pump and check for obstructions in the impeller.
- Test the pump motor for continuity. If open-circuit or seized, replace the pump assembly.
After cleaning and any replacement, reassemble and run a short program to confirm that water is being pumped to the tank without triggering E10.
