Possible Causes
Broken drum drive belt, Belt slipped off motor pulley, Worn belt with insufficient grip, Faulty idler pulley not maintaining tension
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dryer before removing panels.
- Manual drum test: Open the door and try to rotate the drum by hand. If it spins very freely with little resistance, the belt may be broken.
- Access belt: Remove the top and rear (or front) panels to view the belt around the drum.
- Inspect and replace: If the belt is broken, frayed, or glazed, replace it with the correct New World drum belt. Route it around the motor pulley and idler as per the service diagram.
- Check idler pulley: Ensure the idler pulley spins freely and applies proper tension. Replace if worn or seized.
