How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dryer before inspection.
- Check load: Ensure the noise is not caused by heavy items (shoes, belts) hitting the drum. Remove such items and test again.
- Inspect baffles: Look inside the drum at the lifters/baffles. Check for looseness or cracks. Tighten screws or replace damaged baffles.
- Check rollers and bearing: Access the rear of the drum and inspect support rollers and bearing for flat spots or play. Replace if worn.
- Inspect drum seam: Check the drum seam for trapped objects like coins or bra wires. Remove any foreign objects.
