Possible Causes
Clogged lint filter, Blocked vent hose or wall vent (vented models), Blocked condenser unit (condenser models), Lint build-up in internal ducts and fan housing
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dryer before cleaning internal components.
- Clean lint filter: Remove the lint filter and clean thoroughly after every load. Wash with warm soapy water if coated with residue.
- Check vent hose: For vented New World dryers, disconnect the vent hose and inspect for lint build-up, kinks, or crushed sections. Clean or replace as needed.
- Clean wall vent: Inspect the external wall vent flap for obstructions such as lint, nests, or debris. Clean to ensure free airflow.
- Condenser cleaning: On condenser models, remove and rinse the condenser unit and clean the condenser compartment with a vacuum and soft brush.
- Internal ducting: If performance is still poor, remove the rear or side panels and carefully vacuum lint from internal ducts and the blower housing.
