Possible Causes
Blocked condenser pump, Blocked water level sensor chamber, Kinked or blocked pump hose, Failed condenser pump motor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect the dryer from the mains and remove the water tank before working on the pump system.
- Empty water tank: Remove and empty the condensate water tank. Clean it with warm soapy water and ensure the float (if fitted) moves freely.
- Clean pump area: Access the pump compartment (usually behind the lower front kick panel). Remove lint and debris from the pump sump and filter area.
- Check hoses: Inspect the small hoses from the sump to the pump and from the pump to the tank for kinks or blockages. Flush them with water if necessary.
- Test pump: With the dryer unplugged, disconnect the pump and check for obstructions in the impeller. If accessible, test the pump coil resistance with a multimeter. Replace the pump if open-circuit or seized.
- Reassemble and test: Refit all components, ensure the tank is seated correctly, restore power, and run a short cycle to confirm that E10 is cleared.
