Possible Causes
Faulty water tank float switch, Dirty or stuck float in water tank, Damaged wiring to tank sensor, Faulty main control PCB input
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dryer before inspecting the tank sensor system.
- Inspect water tank: Remove the condensate tank and check for a float mechanism. Ensure it moves freely and is not jammed by scale or debris. Clean thoroughly.
- Check tank seating: Make sure the tank is pushed fully home so that any magnetic or mechanical sensor aligns correctly with the internal switch.
- Test float switch: Access the float switch or sensor inside the cabinet (usually behind the tank housing). Test for correct operation with a multimeter while moving the float.
- Inspect wiring: Check the harness from the float switch to the main control PCB for damage or loose connectors. Repair as needed.
- PCB diagnosis: If the sensor and wiring are good but E11 persists, the control PCB input circuit may be faulty and require replacement.
