Dryer shows E18 and may stop unexpectedly; often after a power cut or surge.

Safety first: Turn off the circuit breaker and unplug the dryer before inspecting electrical connections.

• Check mains outlet: Verify that the wall socket is supplying stable voltage using a multimeter. Avoid using extension leads or multi-way adaptors.
• Inspect mains cable and terminal block: Remove the rear cover over the mains terminal block. Check for loose screws, discoloration, or melted insulation. Tighten connections and replace burnt components.
• Examine mains filter: Locate the mains filter module (often near the cable entry). Inspect for bulging, cracking, or burn marks. Replace if damaged.
• Control PCB: If E18 persists and other components are sound, the power supply section of the main control PCB may be faulty and require replacement by a qualified technician.
