How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dryer before removing the control fascia.
- Check selector knob: Ensure the knob is firmly attached to the shaft and not cracked. Replace the knob if it slips.
- Inspect rotary switch: Remove the control panel and inspect the rotary selector or encoder for wear or contamination. Clean contacts if accessible and appropriate.
- Check wiring: Verify that the harness from the selector to the main PCB is secure and undamaged.
- Replace selector: If the selector is mechanically worn or electrically faulty, replace the rotary switch/encoder assembly with a compatible New World part.
