Dryer drum light stays on even when the door is closed, or never comes on

Safety first: Unplug the dryer before replacing bulbs or switches.

Step-by-step checks:

• Test door switch: Press the door switch manually and observe if the light turns on/off. If not, test the switch with a multimeter and replace if faulty.
• Replace bulb: If the switch works but the light is out, replace the bulb with the correct type and wattage specified by Vedette.
• Inspect socket and wiring: Check for corrosion or loose connections at the light socket.

Note: If the light circuit is controlled by the PCB and all other parts are good, the control board may be defective.
