- Door closure: Confirm the door is fully closed and latching properly. If the door feels loose, inspect the latch and strike.
- Test door switch: Access the door switch and test continuity when the door is closed. Replace if faulty.
- Start button test: On models with mechanical buttons, check that the Start button actuates the switch on the PCB. For touch panels, inspect the ribbon cable and UI board.
- Control board relay: If all switches are good and the dryer still will not start, the main relay on the control board may be defective and the board may need replacement.
