Possible Causes

Blocked blower fan causing overload, Seized drum rollers or bearings, Failing drive motor, Excessive lint buildup around motor

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the dryer. Allow the motor to cool before touching.

Step-by-step checks:

  • Check for mechanical drag: Rotate the drum by hand. Any grinding, scraping, or stiffness indicates mechanical resistance that can overload the motor.
  • Inspect blower housing: Access the blower fan from the rear or side. Remove lint clumps, socks, or debris from the fan and housing. Ensure the fan wheel is secure on the shaft.
  • Examine drum supports: Inspect drum rollers, bearings, or glides for wear or seizure. Replace worn components.
  • Clean motor area: Vacuum lint from around the motor and wiring to improve cooling.
  • Test motor: If the drum turns freely but E07 recurs, the motor windings or internal thermal protector may be failing. Replace the motor with a compatible Vedette drive motor.

Warning: Repeatedly resetting and running with an overloaded motor can cause permanent damage or fire risk.
