Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dryer before accessing the control panel or main PCB.
Step-by-step checks:
- Power reset: Disconnect the dryer from mains for at least 5–10 minutes to allow capacitors to discharge. Reconnect and test. Sometimes this clears transient E09 errors.
- Inspect control connections: Remove the top cover and access the main control board and user interface board. Check the ribbon cable and connectors for secure fit and no corrosion or damage.
- Look for visible damage: Examine the PCB for burnt components, cracked solder joints, or swollen capacitors. Any visible damage usually means the board must be replaced.
- Surge protection: If E09 occurred after a surge, consider using a surge protector after repair to prevent recurrence.
Note: Firmware or microcontroller faults are not user-repairable. Replacement of the main control board or user interface board is typically required and should be done by a qualified technician.
