Possible Causes
Full or incorrectly seated water tank, Blocked condensate pump or drain channel, Failed condensate pump, Faulty water level float switch or sensor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before removing panels or accessing the pump area.
Step-by-step checks:
- Empty and reseat tank: Remove the condensate water tank, empty it completely, clean any sludge, and reinstall it firmly. Ensure it clicks into place.
- Check for kinks or blockages: On models with direct drain hose, verify the hose is not kinked or blocked. Flush with warm water if necessary.
- Clean pump area: Access the pump compartment (usually behind a lower front or rear panel). Remove lint, scale, or debris from the pump reservoir and float area.
- Test pump operation: With the dryer reassembled and powered, start a cycle and listen for the pump when water should be evacuated. If silent and no water is moved, the pump may be defective.
- Check float switch: Inspect the float and its microswitch or sensor for free movement. Replace the float switch or pump assembly if stuck or faulty.
Important: Do not operate the dryer with water standing in the base; this can trigger additional safety errors or leaks.
