Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dryer before opening the control panel.
Step-by-step checks:
- Check for stuck keys: Press each button on the control panel several times. Ensure none are physically stuck or jammed by dirt or detergent residue. Clean around buttons with a slightly damp cloth (no liquid inside the panel).
- Power reset: Disconnect power for 5 minutes, then reconnect and test. Sometimes clears minor UI glitches.
- Inspect ribbon cable: Remove the top cover and control panel fascia. Check the flat ribbon cable between the UI board and main board. Reseat both ends and ensure no cracks or corrosion.
- Visual inspection: Look for burnt or damaged components on the UI board. If present, replace the UI board.
Note: If E11 persists after cleaning and reseating cables, the user interface board is likely defective and should be replaced with the correct Vedette part.
