Safety first: Unplug the dryer before working on the door assembly.

Step-by-step checks:

Inspect door alignment: Check that the door closes evenly and the gap around the door is uniform. Tighten loose hinges and replace bent hinges if necessary.
Check door catch and strike: Ensure the plastic catch on the door and the strike on the cabinet are not worn or broken. Replace if damaged.
Test door interlock: Access the door switch from behind the front panel. Test with a multimeter for continuity when the door is closed. Replace the switch if it does not change state.
Verify wiring: Inspect the wiring from the door switch to the control board for breaks or loose connectors.

Note: If the mechanical parts and switch are good, the safety circuit on the control board may be faulty and require board replacement.
