Possible Causes

Contaminated moisture sensor bars, Loose sensor harness connection, Faulty sensor harness, Control board calibration error

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power before accessing internal wiring.

  • 1. Thoroughly clean sensor bars: Wipe the metal bars inside the drum with a cloth soaked in white vinegar to remove any waxy build-up. Dry completely.
  • 2. Check for loose connections: Access the sensor harness behind the front panel or at the base of the drum. Ensure all connectors are tight and free from corrosion.
  • 3. Inspect harness: Look for pinched, frayed, or broken wires along the sensor harness route. Replace the harness if any damage is found.
  • 4. Run a timed cycle test: After cleaning, run a timed (not auto) cycle. If the dryer runs normally without E32, the issue was likely contamination. If E32 returns, the control board may be misreading the sensor.
  • 5. Control board check: If all wiring and sensors are good, the main PCB may require replacement or firmware update, which should be performed by a Zanussi service technician.
