Possible Causes
Worn or damaged tact switches, Moisture ingress into control panel, Loose ribbon cable, Faulty user interface PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dryer before removing the control panel.
- 1. Power reset: Disconnect the dryer for 5–10 minutes, then reconnect and test. This can clear minor software glitches.
- 2. Clean panel surface: Wipe the control panel with a slightly damp cloth to remove dirt. Do not allow liquid to enter the panel.
- 3. Access UI board: Remove the top panel and then the front fascia to access the user interface board. Check that the ribbon cable is fully seated.
- 4. Inspect for moisture or corrosion: Look for signs of water damage or corrosion on the UI board. If present, the board should be replaced.
- 5. Replace UI board: If individual buttons have failed, replacing the entire user interface PCB is usually the most practical solution.
