Zanussi dryer emits a musty or unpleasant odor from the drum and exhaust.

Safety first: Unplug the dryer before cleaning internal parts. Ensure good ventilation while using cleaning agents.

• 1. Clean drum: Wipe the inside of the drum with a cloth and a mild detergent solution. Rinse with a damp cloth and dry.
• 2. Clean filters and condenser: Remove and wash all lint filters. Clean the condenser thoroughly to remove damp lint.
• 3. Dry out sump: If accessible, open the lower panel and check for standing water in the sump. Clean and dry the area.
• 4. Run a hot maintenance cycle: Run the dryer empty on a high-temperature program (if available) for 30–60 minutes to help dry and deodorize internal surfaces.
• 5. Avoid leaving damp clothes: Remove laundry promptly at the end of cycles and leave the door slightly open when not in use to allow ventilation.
