Possible Causes

Defective rotary encoder or buttons on control panel, Contaminants or moisture under keypad, Loose keypad ribbon cable, Control panel PCB failure

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power before removing the control panel.

Steps:

  • Clean the panel surface: Wipe the control panel with a dry cloth. Do not spray cleaner directly onto the panel; spray onto the cloth instead.
  • Access keypad connections: Remove the screws securing the control panel and gently pull it forward. Locate the keypad or encoder connector and reseat it.
  • Check for moisture: If there is condensation or liquid inside the panel, allow it to dry completely before reassembly.

Repair: If F2 persists and button presses are erratic, replace the touch control panel assembly or rotary encoder module (depending on model). If a new panel does not resolve the issue, the main control board may also need replacement.
