Charger handle does not latch securely into the vehicle inlet or is difficult to insert/remove.

Note: Forcing the connector can damage the vehicle inlet.

• Step 1 – Inspect latch: Check that the latch on the BougeRV J1772 handle moves freely and returns under spring tension.
• Step 2 – Clean connector: Remove dirt and debris from the handle and vehicle inlet with a soft brush and electrical contact cleaner.
• Step 3 – Check for deformation: Look for melted or warped plastic around the pins or latch. If present, replace the BougeRV J1772 handle / cable assembly.
• Step 4 – Verify alignment: Ensure the charger cable is not pulling sideways on the handle when plugged in; use a holster or support if needed.
