Possible Causes
Open ground in supply circuit, High resistance ground connection at input terminal, Corroded ground pin on plug-in model, Faulty ground monitoring circuit on main control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Shock hazard: Do not use the charger if a ground fault is indicated. A missing or poor ground can be life-threatening.
- Step 1 – Test outlet ground: For plug-in BougeRV chargers, use a receptacle tester to verify correct wiring and presence of ground. For hardwired units, have an electrician test the ground impedance.
- Step 2 – Inspect ground conductor: With power off, open the input wiring compartment and confirm the ground wire is securely attached to the ground terminal and that the terminal is tight to the chassis.
- Step 3 – Clean contacts: On plug-in models, clean the ground pin with electrical contact cleaner if corrosion is present. Replace the plug if the pin is badly pitted.
- Step 4 – Internal ground strap: Verify that any internal ground straps between the BougeRV metal chassis and PCB ground points are intact and securely fastened.
- Step 5 – Board-level fault: If the supply ground is verified good and connections are tight but E07 persists, the ground monitoring circuit on the BougeRV main control board may be defective and require replacement.
