Possible Causes

Blocked ventilation openings, Failed internal cooling fan, Degraded thermal interface between power module and heatsink, Ambient temperature above charger rating

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Burn hazard: Allow the charger to cool completely before touching internal components.

  • Step 1 – Check installation location: Ensure the BougeRV charger is installed with the clearances specified in the manual and not in direct sunlight or near other heat sources.
  • Step 2 – Clean vents: Disconnect power. Use a vacuum or compressed air to remove dust and debris from intake and exhaust vents.
  • Step 3 – Verify fan operation: Restore power and start a charge while observing the internal cooling fan (if visible through vents or with cover removed). The fan should spin smoothly without noise. If it does not start, or is noisy, it may be failing.
  • Step 4 – Inspect heatsink and sensors (advanced): With power off and cover removed, check that the power module is firmly attached to the heatsink and that temperature sensors are properly seated and connected to the main board.
  • Step 5 – Replace components: Replace a failed BougeRV internal cooling fan. If the fan works but E08 persists at normal ambient temperatures, the temperature sensor or power module may be faulty and should be serviced by a technician.
