Easee charger reports an earth/PE error and refuses to start charging; LED often red or blinking red.

Critical safety: Do not operate the charger without a proper earth connection. Risk of electric shock.

• 1. Verify PE continuity: With power isolated, use a continuity tester or low-ohm meter to confirm a solid connection between the charger PE terminal and the main earth bar.
• 2. Inspect PE conductor: Check that the earth wire is correctly landed in the backplate terminal block and shows no signs of damage or corrosion.
• 3. Check distribution board: Ensure the earth bar is secure and that the PE conductor from the charger is firmly connected.
• 4. Measure earth resistance: A qualified electrician should measure earth loop impedance or resistance to confirm compliance with local standards.
• 5. Replace charger if internal fault: If the external earth is sound but the charger still reports a PE error, the internal PE sensing circuit may be defective and the main board or module must be replaced.
