Possible Causes

Easee Equalizer not powered or offline, Incorrect CT clamp orientation or wiring, Misconfigured load balancing group, Faulty communication between chargers and Equalizer

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Note: Load balancing errors can cause reduced or zero charging current to protect the main supply.

  • 1. Check Equalizer status: Ensure the Easee Equalizer (or equivalent load controller) is powered and online in the app.
  • 2. Inspect CT clamps: Verify that current transformers (CTs) are installed on the correct mains conductors, oriented according to the arrows, and their leads are firmly connected.
  • 3. Verify configuration: In the installer portal, confirm that the main fuse size, phase configuration, and group settings match the physical installation.
  • 4. Test standalone operation: Temporarily disable load balancing in the configuration (if safe and permitted) to see if the charger operates normally on its own.
  • 5. Check communication links: Ensure that all chargers and the Equalizer are on the same network and that any required pairing or linking has been completed.
  • 6. Replace faulty Equalizer: If all wiring and configuration are correct but errors persist, the Equalizer or its communication interface may be defective.
