Possible Causes
Mechanical jam in locking pin, Broken lock actuator motor, Debris in socket locking channel, Faulty lock position sensor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Do not force the connector out; you may damage the socket or cable.
- 1. Release via app: Use the Easee app to send an unlock command and wait for the mechanism to operate.
- 2. Power-cycle: Turn OFF the breaker for 30 seconds, then turn it back ON and attempt to unlock again via the app.
- 3. Gently wiggle connector: While sending an unlock command, gently wiggle the Type 2 plug (without excessive force) to relieve mechanical tension.
- 4. Inspect for debris: Once the connector is removed, inspect the socket for foreign objects or deformation in the locking channel.
- 5. Replace lock actuator: If the motor does not operate or the lock position is not detected correctly, replace the locking mechanism or the entire socket module.
