Possible Causes
Broken CP conductor in cable, Corroded CP pin in Type 2 socket, Faulty CP driver circuit on main board, Incorrect wiring of CP to socket
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Note: The CP line is critical for communication between the charger and vehicle.
- 1. Inspect CP pin: Examine the small CP pin in the Type 2 socket and plug for corrosion, bending, or contamination. Clean gently with a dry cloth.
- 2. Check cable continuity: With power off, test continuity of the CP conductor from the charger to the vehicle plug using a multimeter.
- 3. Verify wiring: Ensure the CP wire is correctly connected to the designated terminal on the Easee main board and the socket.
- 4. Test with another cable/vehicle: Swap the cable and, if possible, test with a different EV to isolate whether the fault is in the charger or external.
- 5. Replace CP driver module: If wiring and cable are good, the CP driver circuit on the main board may be defective and the board should be replaced.
