Possible Causes
Tripped or faulty breaker, Open circuit in supply wiring, Loose connections at charger terminal block, Failed internal power supply on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Always turn off the main breaker before removing panel covers. High voltage is present even when the charger appears dead.
- Check breaker: Verify that the dedicated Emporia charger breaker is in the ON position. If tripped, reset once. If it trips again immediately, do not force it on; there may be a short.
- Test outlet (plug-in models): Plug another 240V-rated device or use a multimeter to confirm power at the receptacle.
- Inspect internal connections (hardwired, qualified person): With power off, remove the charger cover and check that all supply wires are firmly secured in the terminal block and show no signs of burning.
- Restore power and observe: If LEDs or indicators still do not light, the internal low-voltage power supply on the control board may have failed.
- Do not attempt board-level repair: Replace the entire control board assembly or the charger per Emporia guidance. This should be done by a licensed electrician or authorized service provider.
